Step 1

3-5 years, boys and girls

The Goal:

  • Repetition, repetition, repetition
  • Development of good habits
  • Correct use of HEAD/FEET/HANDS

All Footstep-ees completing Step 1 will have achieved a good level of the basics coupled with the enjoyment of making lots of noise and getting as muddy as they can. Remember to achieve the above has nothing to do with ability, just the willingness to coach and promote good habits.

Step 2

6-8 years, boys and girls

The Goal: At footsteps STEP 2 we coach and encourage the following:

  • Touch
  • Use of both feet
  • Space awareness
  • Team play
  • Fitness

At Step 2 we introduce all of the above into small sided games, and whilst we enjoy the competitiveness that it brings we are focused on the development of the Footstep-ee not the match result.
